Seed to sex - fast as possible

So would this work? I dont want to get any buds out of it just want to sex as fast as possible.

Wait till seed gets to about third node.
Top at first node
put top into cube
throw cube into flower (right away no roots)
wait a week for sex

Will the still immature seed top be able to show sex from a light change before going asymetrical? Will it even be able to live through the process without roots?

More Q's
Can you take real production ready clones from the plant before it shows asymetrical growth?
Is topping an unmature plant bad for it?

These seem like kinda simple questions but Ive never recieved a real answer on them.

I'd say if you have searched and cannot find any answers you might as well try it.

I think most of what you are asking are gonna end up with you sighing and throwing a lot of things in the garbage.

Alternating 12hrs of regular light and 12hrs of blue led light for a week or two should reveal sex organs while maintaining vegetative growth. Or wait after 40-60 days of vegging.

my plants were never mature when i topped them..im sure there is some shock involved but it doesnt really cause trouble.

To weed out males as fast as possible so Im not wasting space on them that is needed for other things.
Dosent seem that outrageous a desire.

Interesting but not possible (shared space with other veg plants).
Ive done seeds before just trying to knock down the usual 60 days from seed to production clones to around 30 which is what its normally taking to even get sex.

If I can get the sex faster Im all for it.
Throwing away clones is no sweat off my back if it gets me sexed faster.

I don't think it will show a thing before alternating nodes. They usually won't show sex if they aren't sexually mature, but anything is possible.

What you can do once you have alternating nodes, is take a cut, put it in a glass of water and put under 12/12. It will survive long enough to show sex.
