Ive heard good things about Seedism over the past few weeks of seaching for my next run so i thought id give them a go, i wanted to try the Applejack (and i will one day) but something (maybe the beast in me) made me choose the BLZ Bud, maybe it was the genetics involved in creating this strain (G-13 x Super Silver Haze x Trainwreck). Ive just got a good feeling about finding a keeper with these so i ordered 5 of these magic beans (feminised).
I live in the UK and im also interested in finding strains that work well over here in the great outdoors (ive always wanted to pull off a grow or two guerilla style). While searching i came across Dinafem's Critical+ 2.0. Dinafem say they have taken their Critical+ and crossed it with a more moisture resistant Critical+ phenotype to produce Critical+ 2.0 so i thought id give them a shot and picked up 3 of these magic beans (feminised). I will be taking a few cuttings off each of the plants and seeing how they get on outdoors this year.
Dinafem where also doing a promo so i got a free Blue Kush magic bean (feminised) that i am excited to see how it turns out (i know the odds of me finding a nice phenotype are slim with one bean but ive got good feelings about this one). Im a Cheese man but i do like the Kush now im tasting more and more of them and i LOVE Blue Cheese so im guessing Blue Kush is going to be a very interesting strain.
Anyway im starting this simply because i couldnt find much information on growing or smoking these strains (i can find stuff on Dinafem's Critical+ 2.0 auto but...)
I soaked them all (9) for 24 hours in mineral water and planted them into some Plagron Light Mix, placed them in my propagator under a T5 and 24 hours later 6 have sprouted and i can see that another 1 is just trying to break through the surface.
The Blue Kush is looking nice and short and so are the 2 Critical+ 2.0's but the BLZ Buds that have sprouted have stretched quite a bit, when i pot them on i will put the ones that have stretched deeper into their new pots and after a little while the stem that is burried will grow roots (ive done this many times).
One thing i will say about one of the BLZ Buds that has sprouted and i wanted to know if anyone has ever seen this before because its new to me... It has 3 cotyledon leaves! I've never seen or heard about this but in the book The Cannabis Breeder's Bible i did read about chromosome modifications in Cannabis and trilateral branching so maybe this plant has that? Will soon find out but has anyone had this before?
Also could someone please talk me through uploading pictures into this thread?
I have a run of Bomb Seeds Cherry Bomb and Cluster Bomb and then after that i have Bomb Seeds THC Bomb and Female Seeds C99 to run at the moment set up as a perpetual harvest (2.4m x 1.2m x 2m Greenroom with 2 600W lights split into two stages of flower 4-5 weeks appart) and these girls are next in line so i might be a bit slow with the updates (very busy) but i will try and do my best to make this a complete grow journal of these strains.
Also would love to hear from anyone that has grown out any of these strains, I've seen a few people saying that BLZ Bud is so strong its evil but i cant find anything on Dinafem's Critical+ 2.0 (non-auto) and Blue Kush.
Lets do this thing!!!
