Seedling dead?

I planted 4 germinated seeds 5 days ago only one has sprouted through the soil but it was just the taproot with the shell stuck on it. That was 2 days ago that it popped through the soil like that and it hasn’t moved since. Is it dead or does it need more time?

Letting them germinate before planting is waaay too fraught a process for my liking.

I just soak overnight in tapwater with a touch of peroxide or bleach and then plant them 2 cm in the medium.

I usually get 100% with new seeds...

I’d say at least 30 gallons per day.

Edit: that’s not what you asked, technically that’s an hour per 1.25 gallons.
