Seedling from a piece of root...

When I was germinating my seeds a piece of one of the roots broke off in the paper towel as I was removing them and I thought I might as well put it in the soil with the seed it came from, I put it near the side of the cup so If only one seedling came up I'd know for sure what made the seedling... I don't know if it was just my positive thinking but it worked...

I know pretty much nobody is going to believe me but that really doesn't matter cause I have 2 Himalaya Blue Diesel auto seedlings growing in the same plastic cup from only one seed...

Just thought I'd share my weird experience...

I might try to replicate it on my next grow, germinate the seeds a little longer and snip a bit off the bottom of the root...

The one from the root broke soil first and the one from the seed is just on its way out...

I'll post a pic later...

I don't know if anyone has ever tried to plant a bit of broken off root from the germinating process...

Jayy's got a point here. this could be revolutionary, we should erase this and make a blood pact not to tell anyone about it, ever.

I WANT A BLOOD PACT! But seriously, that does seem like something worth exploring mate. (I'm using the word mate because I'm assuming you're either a Limey, Ozzie, or a Kiwi)

Taking the piss out of something means making fun of...

If it works and wasn't just a once off fluke of nature why wouldn't the information be good to share?

I agree with Jay, I'm not making fun or anything, it sounds like a grand Idea, but I already kind of slit my hand in hopes of a BLOOD PACT! Guess I should go clean up now.

If I deleted the thread then how would I prove I was the idiot that stumbled upon this..?

I hope it wasn't just a once of freak of nature thing...

Havent we had this discussion? Well at least there is a theory that you can get roots to regenerate by putting them in soil and leaving it in the dark for ?? who knows ??

There were a couple of members who were trying it, I dont know if there was any success.

I think it's just stonerly exuberance. You say they're both growing ... I certainly have no reason to doubt it. It is rather unconventional, but I'd never look a gift tree in the, oh dang, the metaphor fell apart.
Waiting for the pic!
I can't help but think about the Star Trek episode with two Captains Kirk. cn
