Seedling help. Plant is yellow and wilty. Need advice.

I was away for a week and my mom was watching my plant for me. It sprouted while I was gone and it looks like this now. Anyone know what is wrong with it? It's all wilty and yellow. I thought maybe it was getting too much light because I had them on for 24/0 to keep the seeds warm and I just changed it when I got back to 18/6. So if light was the problem that is fixed now.

Well that would suck if it was. I've tried with 8 seeds and this is the only one that has grown. That's alot of wasted money :(

Do you have a different picture? Maybe one more from a side view? Not sure of your soil either.... Maybe it was too hot? Did you add nutes? Does it have good drainage? Did you add perlite? Dolomite?

I could be wrong but it looks like you've added oatmeal to your soil... or something

what soil are you using?
what lights are you using?
is it extremly hot?
how far is the light form the plant?

these are all very key things to finding out whats going on here. but autopsy may be on to something with the WAY to much water.
but to much heat from the light being to close could be an issue as well.

I'm using pro mix soil, 150 watt hps light which is about 5 or 6 inches away, and it's not hot. I put my hand under the light and it was just warm.
Also no nutes yet.

Yes this one is one of 6 I bought from Sannies Seeds ( I have 4 of those left) and all 6 I bought from the single seed center germinated but didn't grow past that.
at this point i would probably contact Sannies Seeds.. the worst that can happen is they dont do anything for you.. the best they may send you 6 more seeds in order to keep you as a customer..
sad that this happen.

but also... i think 5 inches is to close i would say probably around 10 inches is ideal for a 150watt.. but i wouldn't necessarily blame this on the distance the light is from the plant.

Thanks for all of the advice. I will get the light further away from the plant and since I'm home now I can make sure it's not over watered. Hopefully it pulls through. At least I have 4 more, I just hope I have better luck. I'm usually pretty good at growing things but it's always been outside.
