Seedling in help

This is my first grow. I have an unknown seedling that I got from a friend. It took 3 days to start root from the paper towel method and than on the 1st i put it in the rockwool cube after soaking it in 5.0 ph water. Running 18:6 light cycle with a 100w 6500k bulb. She doesnt look very good though. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I would get it into a suitably sized container. Recessed behind walls like that could restrict fresh air. The glass could magnify light(?).

What kind of water are you using? (Tap, reverse osmosis?) If tap, what is the ppm?

I haven't used rockwool. But, it looks wet to me.

Is this going to go into hydro or soil? If soil, you could go ahead and bury the cube in soil. That would help regulate the moisture content of the cube. (I do that with Rapid Rooter cubes. I don't keep them out, waiting for roots to appear. I put the seed in and bury the cube flush in the 22oz seedling container.).

By the looks I'd say it's drowning, poor lil fella

PS: go for like a 5.8 PH soak next time rather than 5.0, optimal for water is 5.5-6.5 with preferred generally being 5.8

I will try putting it in soil pot... I have a 2nd larger cabinet i am going to do a micro scrog out of an old TV cabinet
Thanks for the advice....

Putting it soil in a regular pot now is a good idea. The rockwool is to wet, roots don't like light, and there's no air flow with it that deep in a container.

Next time put the seed straight into whatever medium your growing in. If soil just plant it in soil.

First, when the tap root comes out it has many very fine hair like roots. The more steps and handling the more chance of damage.

Second, 5.0 is too low. 5.8 is low for soil. Get above 6. Its not real important for soil as soil buffers pH.

Last, don't keep it too moist. It needs to dry some so roots search for water.

As I was looking at the pictures, I said to myself, too wet, put it in soil. Too much light on the roots when they show, put it in soil. And too closed in, not enough air flow. Get it out of that vase and put it in a pot of soil.

Then I read the other posts, so Never Mind. . . .
