Hi All,
Attached is a photo of the leaves of my 2-week-2-day-old Jillybean (sativa dom) seedling. For the first two weeks she's been in a rockwool cube with nothing but water. All her leaves were the dark green you can still see in the middle of the leaves in the photo. Beginning around Friday I noticed that the leaves were getting lighter along the edges, and this continued to progress, with the dark part receding more and more into the center of the leaf.
So I figured it's time to give her some nutes, and yesterday I gave her her first dose. A 1/4 strength cocktail of AN's Micro, Grow and Bloom. For the Micro, I gave 1/4 the amount listed for young plants, and the Grow and Bloom 1/4 the amount listed for veg plants.
The way I've been watering has been simply dipping the cube in the water about halfway up the cube for a second. I did the same with the nute solution. I could tell by the weight of the cube that some had been absorbed, but it wasn't soaking wet.
24 hours later, and I don't see any change. In fact, I think the cotyledons are even yellower.
Advice? Thanks! And in general, if I've done the right thing, how long should it take for her leaves to go all dark again?
EDIT: Also, this is going to be a hydro grow -- I've been waiting for a root to poke through the bottom of the cube before putting her in the bubbler and under a 400W MH light.
