Seedling not looking good...should I start over?

I've read several posts with people having the same problem as me but thought I'd put my own up.

First time grower here.....

I germinated a seed, once germinated I planted it in rockwool. Watered it with distilled water. Seedling looked real good. Using a 6,500K CFL. Light schedule is 18/6. Few days later I was an idiot and added an incandescent grow light. Came back the next morning, the seedling was laying over. Removed the incandescent but kept the CFL. Propped up the seedling. Watered with distilled water. 2 days passed, no change. In a panic, added diluted nutrient solution AND a fan to strengthen plant. Came back next morning, no change. Did this for 2 days then read a post to not use nutes so early. So as of yesterday I went back to just distilled water. But noticed last night the rockwool is super dry. No change to the seedling. The stalk is super super thin and leaves are curled and dry, but still green. The seedling is pitifull looking. I think I fried it a few days ago when I did the moronic incandescent light thing.:wall:



Is there any hope for this seedling?Should I hold on and keep working with it?

reason it stretched is because the light source was too far way...if its fried let it go and start over..that rockwool must stay moist my man...and no nutes till at the earliest a week in at 1/4 strength

lesson learned keep the cfls close

Yeah I agree w/ Houston. Jus sounds like the lights were too far away.

I'm a new grower too, so I understand the stress of trial and error-- but no worries, the more failed attempts, the closer we are the success. :)

That sucks, time to start again. and yup i think the extra light probly did it, clones don't need squat for light untill they have lotza roots already....
And, always use just water for the first week or more then a Vary weak fetz mix, like houstonblowskush said..... :joint:

Samething happened to my plant to kinda except I was using soil -_- but anyway just start OVER , you will have a better plant at the end too :blsmoke: this is all about trial & error

From the picture, I see a healthy seedling, only that it's leaning.

Hydroponics is not my forte, but I will say that if that is a seed worthy of hanging onto, you should just prop up the base with some coco.......is it salvageable? Yes.
