This ^Different phenos, over watering, bad seed, theres plenty of reasons they could look different.
I've never, not one time had a problem with seeds straight into FFOF (Now that I've said this, it'll happen - lmao). A lot of soil growers use Happy Frog to start seeds out in too. *Not "calling you out", just saying. I have read some posts on what you're talking about, but I've read more pertaining to failed rapid rooter/pellets. Everyone does shit different. If it works for you, run with it.That is kind of a hot mix for some babies. They look like they're adapting well though. If the growth slows down and they get brittle then the soil is too hot. Next time let them crack in a peat pellet and plant them in the soil after a few days of growth. I start them in peat pellets and do not plant them until I see roots growing out of the bottom.
lol Better knock on wood. It happened to me but it could have just been a hot batch. I have also got FFOF with low pH before. I no longer use it and just make my own soils. This ^

At that stage in their life I would just give them a "small/smaller" amount of water, depending on the heat, once every other day.
