Seedling Problems

I don't have any pictures as the problems have been in the past. My problem is that I'm no master grower.. I know a lot.. not everything. I've grown 4 or 5 times. However, when I start from seed.. I germinate them fine with 100% success.. they all sprout great.. then when they get roots going and right around the 2nd-4th node they just stop growing for a couple weeks then pick back up. I've never had this problem with clones from the dispensary. I usually wait until they start yellowing a tad to feed them as I grow in coco/perlite so no nutrients in the medium.. so they get fed straight pH'd water until they yellow a little and then I give them just slight nutrients... can anyone diagnose my problem?

I don't really think it's a problem your plants are just doing their thing! They are focusing more on root development/thickening stalks than vertical growth. I don't have any guess to why your clones don't go through the same cycle... except maybe clones are just on different biological clocks than seedlings.

I had a problem using coco before I didn't rinse it well before using it. Some one had told me it contains a lot of salts and it was killing my plants but I don't think ur problem is that because mine wouldn't make it to the first node.

hmm, well thanks for the input. I soak my coco quite well before use. any other ideas?

slow growth is one of a few things...not enuff light...not enuff nutes...not enuff water...bad temps... tell us more about you set-up like the lights you run your temps and what kinda nutes you giv..maybe we can help a lil more

also some strains jus grow slo.

oh jeez haha, I run a 400w switchable so I just swap bulbs from mh/hps during veg/flower.. umm... I use a 125w flouro to start them off... umm temps are generally between 70-80 not jumping around just depends on the day. and then... for nutrients i use fox farm.. like i said i don't feed until they yellow a little bit and then i just give them a teeny tiny bit of big bloom

Your probably letting the seedlings get too yellow stunting growth, use veg nutes earlier.
