Seedling Rockwool Advice!...?

I'm pretty new to growing, but I've noticed that a few seeds never made it. I was wondering if there was a good way of doing this. I germinated the seeds until I could see a some roots and then I would put them in using a knife to push the seed with the root down first into the presoaked rockwool. I would squeeze the rockwool before doing this so it wouldn't be too much water. After that, I would put some rockwool over the hole.

Is there a better way, like...make the hole this by this big and put a layer of thin er thick rockwool over it or...put a layer made out of parts that way the seed comes out easier or...make sure the rockwool is always wet before it comes out or? I don't know, but I hate wasting seeds and rockwool T-T!!

you should wait till the lil root gets a lil bigger then put in rockwool. when i do it i dont cover the hole up, that way the lil leafs pop out looking for light.

Rockwool has a high pH so you'll need to soak them with water with a pH of 4.5-5 because optimally it should grow best with pH of 5.8. Also you should have hem in a humidity dome with a heating matt under, this should help improve germination rates, I had the same problem and the humidity dome and heating pad helped alot.

Dont squeeze the rockwool. fling water off if u need to.
I agree. I've seen one of the more popular "all in one" videos say "squeeze the Rockwool cube to remove air pockets." Squeezing liquid out of a soaked cube will CREATE air pockets, not remove them.
