hello all,
I have recently started a batch of White Widow Max from seeds, and one of my seedlings has a serious deformation. Normally this wouldn't pose a problem, but I have very few seeds of this strain and need to begin cloning as soon as possible. The other issue I have is that my seeds are not feminized so I do not want to take the chance of loosing a female.
As for the deformation, there is a half inch section in middle of a two inch long stem that is essentially just the outer skin. There is no structure inside, just a very small amount of fluid, but there is no structural support, nor is the defective area filling in. The plant is growing leaves at a comparable rate to the other seedlings. I have attached a picture of the seedling with the defect, the portion of the stem in question is directly in front of my thumb.
So my question to the forum;
1. Is there any known cure to this defect, and if so what are the chances of recovery?
2. If this is not a known problem, or something that is not recoverable, would it be genetic, and assuming I could nurture the plant to a clone able size would it persist in subsequent generations?
regards,
Pb
