seedling stems

The last time I popped some beans the seedlings just fell over and the stem cracked and I don't want to make the same mistake again, I currently have 5 seedlings in my propagator with 2 sets of leaves how long will they be ok in there for until they need air blowing on them to strengthen the stems?

They are an outdoor variety and I want to put them outside when they are big/strong enough.

I don't use fans on my seedlings and I get strong stems.

Repot the stems deeper in your medium if they're too long.

Is the propogator a covered plastic type? Seedlings shouldnt be covered in those types just take the top of if so.

yeah it is I will take the plastic off it then thank you.

As soon as a seed breaks the soil the lid is not needed and will do more harm than good. Clones can be covered not seedlings.

Thats an easy tip for you, might help get them standing up more.

Don't overwater. Damp not soaking wet.

The proper amount of light allows it to root into the soil and grow upwards. If too little it will stretch and fall over.
