Seedling temps and humidity

Hey all. I have 2 day old seedlings in tent Autos so in final pots. Humidity at 70 % temps 26C Becuz I have an oil heater and humidifier in tents when lights turn out temps and % will stay same is that ok. Or shud that drop for lights out. Any opinions please

I am doing the same thing with a propane gas heater and humidifier, I decided to shut off the humidifier while the lights are off to reduce the possibility of mold or mildew issues, so I've been running the humidifier 18 hours a day.

That worked well in the small 2x4 tent for seedlings, now in the 4x4 tent the humidifier can barely keep the humidity above 55% due to the ventilation. I have both tents venting into the room, and then I vent the room as needed. I end up having to vent for heat and lose humidity, but it's better than too much humidity. I am using the HLG-550 in the 4x4 tent so the heat is minimal but still has to be vented.

Don't alter humidity, the heater should heat the room the tent is in then the tent will use that air. A good room temp is 20c. Seedlings need air not humidity, outside they work at all humidity no need to assume different indoors.

I have a fan in tent blowing over seedlings canopy. But I don’t have Internet air fan on yet. So you suggesting put heater outside tent by the vent at bottom of tent ? Hey now be it says seedling strive there roots out better in 70% humidity

Has heater sounds dangerous...anyways a gas heater, if it's not vented, should provide adequate humidity as the byproducts of natural gas combustion is water vapor and co2

Leaves open and close stoma to adjust to humidity, we don't need to do anything but provide the air flow.

My humidity right now is about 30% without the humidifier, they really struggle with low humidity.

It is a Rinnai propane gas direct vent heater, right thru the wall outside so no extra CO2 for the plants.

30% is not going to cause plants struggles, trust me in nature this is very common.

Low humidity is not some evil plant killing beast, you can focus on other problems and tick this of the list.

I said plants struggle in low humidity, nothing about evil plant killing beast.

We can agree to disagree about whether or not plants struggle in low humidity; in any case, I am not asking for advice, thank you very much.

We can certainly if you want or we can look into it deeper and see that leaves even a seedlings have automatic humidistats called stomata. These open and close to regulate water loss, higher humidity sees them open more lower less but the same volume of water is lost in both conditions.

Plants are pretty clever right, imagine if low humidity made plants suffer, they wouldn't have survived to this point and look a lot more like miss and lichen not evolved and tall like trees.

Can still agree to disagree but it's not helping you grow seedlings much.
