Put them on 18 hours of light straight and 6 hours of darkness straight. You are intererupting the light cycles like crazy by adding in a few half hour breaks...You will end up with a hermie if you continue this for it's life cycle.

Hmmm im deff a noob, so i guess you can ride this off as just being lucky but:

I grow with 5x36w flueros (2 of them are proper grows, three of them are just whites) and position them pretty much touching the plant as the tubes are cold enough not to burn. I have the two grows hanging uptop while the three whites hit the plants side on.

The cycle is 18:6 and feed them only once a week (even if they get dry i wont water as i think its good to "stress" the roots to go searching for water) now at full strength and also use a root tonic (not canna, i use my local dudes homebrand and assures me its more or less like canna)

Medium is coco with a few scopes of perlite to help.

I also chuck a fan on them during lights on to help strengthen those stems!!

Even with such low power and VERY low tempts (im talking as low as 1C and maxing out at only 19C) im getting no signs of problems with my plants, but they are deff slow growers due to low tempts. So as i said might just be a fuckign strong batch of plants that dont want to give up, but they all seem to be growing so i hope you can get some useful info from this rambling :D

You know there could be something in the air or atmosphere around where you live that may fuck with the plants, not sure where the land of oz is, lol, but.....have you tried buildin yourself a little green house maybe a foot tall and giving the seedlings their own smaller environment for a while, until they get strong enough to flourish, I would take a pin or something and ever so often add holes to the top to slowly acclimate them to the new environment, pretty weird problem you got there......I would also try, if you have a humidity and temp guage (and it sounds like you do), set up a camera on the gauge to run while you sleepin so you can fast foward the tape and see if there are any anomolies that happen when your crashed.....gunna keep ponderin this one and get back to ya if I think of anythink..... good luck man!

and I agree with dankbudzz, just two light cycles on and off, like nature....

Something in the air sounds a lil fair fetched? Unless he has solvents around but then surely this would affect the larger plants too.

Im guessing that watering so often is suffocating the roots and giving them rot. 23C at high humidity is just perfect for root rot to occur. Maybe cut back on the water and get yourself a nice fluffy medium (coco for example)?

If you got some seeds left, use the paper towl method (i got bag seed to germ after 5 years this way with a 90% rate) and wait till you got a good 1cm or so of root showing till you actually plant them out remembering to leave that root pointing down (or you get some nasty curl in the stem IF it breaks through) Dont water them much at all (maybe water the day before you plant to keep the soil wet and give it time to air again) for the first week or two, as flooding the thing will cause poor root system as the lil buggers need to go looking for the water!! While im no master at weed i can always germ seed so this time i actually know what im saying :P

EDIT: No dont plant them outside. I put my extras out to see if they would take and they didnt grow at all. Taking into account it gets even cooler down your way ;)

its not my ph i use the aus standard 5 ticks so its ph accurate and bufferd.thanks for your input skiz but its not overwatering i have grown well over 30 plants and ive harvested about half.im starting to think maybe the air isnt getting circulated enuff. my intake fan is set to come on for only 2mins every 2 hrs,and i dont have a fan inside which is not what i normally do because its winter..can someone with intake and exhuast fan experience tell me should it be on 24/7 ?
