seedlings dying

hi my seedlings are dying everyone is sayin its coz of my 400w mh light which is 1.5 above and its 2 much 4 a baby and my rockwool is drying out fast.just been told 2 put the 1 inch cubes in quarter inch of laying water.is that a good idea.im thinkin maybe i need a fluro or enviro lite wot 1 shud i get and many lumens does it need plz help this is my first grow

im having a similiar problem, i started my seedlings with a normal light bulb. i got floros and they look much better. try getting some floros mate they def will help. as for the lumens, buy a floro with as many lumens as possible.
