Seedlings

When seeds start sprouting up how long do I need to leave the light on them 24 hours a day or 20/4 ?

i do 18/6 if i'm going to veg.

and 12/12 if it's a 12/12 from seed

Thanks for the quick response I am new at this and have done my studying . Guess I just didnt read that part lol .

yes- 18-6 h is just right 4 the vegging stage, but if you want them to grow under 24-0, then its also good.it is actually a good thing to give some dark hours to the plant,they can so to say relax and grow more.

Thanks for the replies , I put the seeds in a paper towel for 24 hours and then put them into rapid rooter plugs and most popped up in three days , This is my first go so my nerves are a little shot right now lol , I am still playin around with the light height right now for them well you all know how it is . Thanks again for your responses !
