Whats up everyone first time post here long time reader. But anyways i got 2 seeds that have already been germinated in soil right now under light and its been 2 days and they are still not popping up. I buried them 1/2 inch deep in FFOF 50 50 mix with perlite and have them on 18/6 light schedule. I read on here that if you packed the soil to tight it could cause them not to pop so i got a pair of rubber gloves on and moved some soil from the top layer and saw some greenery and a set of leaves trying to come in so i re submurged the soil a little more loosely over the top and moved some excess along the rim of the cup. did i do ok or did i mess it up got me tripping lol.

They should be ok .. diggin them up after only 2 days? your going to need to practice some serious Patience dude if your going to make it as a grower

Yea man your right this first stage has me worried though because they are so vulnerable and you cant really monitor how their doing because they dont show any signs just wanted to get a opinion. im gonna give it a week and it should definitely be good by then if not then their most likely dead.

well- 1/2 inch down is awful deep for that small a seed- it will take at least a week or so to see it above ground...
once they start a tap root, they should be planted at soil level with the tap root and most of the seed buried- but the tip of the seed still visible...

STill may be ok-- if ya don't see signs of sprout in a week tho---- I'd sift for it..... JMO....

Yeah, especially if you saw some green when you peaked at them, they're gonna come up pretty soon. But like lemonogkush said, patience is the grower's virtue...just be sure to have some good buds around during your grow so you can still get some satisfaction while watching the slow motion action. I try to look no more than twice per day or else it looks like nothing is happening.

Thanks for the advice guys im gonna just chill out and let nature do its thing ill try to check them once a day and try to forget about them Just so hard cause you know the potential lol. Hopefully everything works out and once i see them above soil that will be reassuring. Also What is the optimal depth to plant a seed so i know next time.
