If you got it now you would help boost the growing of your plants, but definitely get a second for flowering because you’ll need it to get some decent yields.

I’d recommend at least a 400 watt HPS, especially if you’re going to supplement with the LED.

Ed Rosenthal writes in his book that a good rule of thumb for light wattage per square foot (PSF) is 40 Watts PSF for indicas, 50+ PSF for indica-sativa, 60+ for sativa-indica, 70+ for sativa.

That’s the general guide that I follow and I think it works quite well.

Check out this simple chart. It helped me quickly, it may work for you too.
