Seeds in my plants, 6 weeks into flower today.

I never said all come from bagseed. I'm just giving examples. But I agree with you, you should stick to what you know. You seem a little narrow minded to be good at this. I suppose you flush your plants too. What other kind of voodoo are you into? Never mind, I don't want to know. My point is, if your too scared to go out of your boundaries, don't try to force your opinion on people. There's way too many people giving bad advice these days. Just because you don't know or understand, doesn't make your point of view correct.

Is that breeders recommended 8 weeks?

Are you including your transition to 12/12 schedule in this 8 weeks?

Most breeders times are based on pheno’s they found within that geno that finished quickest or weighed the most etc when they give you things like 8 week flower, 1000g p/m2 etc.

Your flowering schedule doesn’t actually begin until the onset of flowers forming.

Not just white hairs showing.

So if after switching to 12/12 you don’t get any white hairs showing for 6 days then it takes another 4 days to start seeing the tops begin to flower set then you can add 10 days onto your 8 week schedule if you’ve been counting since flip to 12/12.

So your 8 week flowering time is already pushed to 9weeks and 3 days.

Yeah its been 6 weeks today since i flipped to 12/12 i started seeing pre flowers and it was at a decent stage in veg so i thought i would flip them, So should i actually add another week on just to be sure? They both say on the seed packaging they finish at 8 weeks The royal cheese is a quick strain from Royal Queen and it says it can be harvested anywhere between 6-8 weeks.

I would expect to have to go to 10 weeks for them to be ripe.

Keep checking once you hit the 8 week mark etc but imo you’ll probably need a week or so more to ripen them properly.

Top stuff so you reckon i should just carrying on despite e seeds situation, i just dont want all more hard work undone to be lumbered with loads off seeded bud.

Me personally it wouldn’t worry me having a few seeds in my bud.

It’s not like the whole crop is going to seed.

Breeders flowering times are based on when flower sets begin to form. Not from when they switched to 12/12 to do you have to adjust accordingly with your timing schedule.

Anyone willing to run unproven genetics in their room, that are predisposed to herm, wasting 12-16+ weeks of production time just to “see” what you get from it, is probably not the kind of grower you want to take advice from. Just my $.02... but hey keep on pollen chucking in your 2x2 and thinking you got it locked. :D:D:D

I guess it’s all a matter of what you’re trying to get from your room. Are you trying to pretend to be a breeder chucking herm pollen of poly hybrids looking for that next elite strain...or are you trying to get some fire smoke without wasting time?

With hermaphrodites unless you have something that can take your flowers place on the table don't chop, finish this, save the seeds and wait until you figure out what caused the herm. If you inadvertently Rodalized your plants that is one thing. If you happen to have plants that easily herm that's another bit of data those can be useful too if they are carry traits you prefer in your cannabis.

As to when to chop you know by looking at the trichomes on the plant. Use some loupes or a handheld microscrope like this (this is what I use):

If you like up highs go with 50% cloudy. If you prefer more couchlock go with all cloudy and some amber.

Kingrow1, you seem a experienced grower and ive read some off your threads, (Im not saying any off you people who commented on this thread are not) Yous have give me some good advice.

Shall i leave them or them or toss them, Im only finding a few at the moment but i feel as the weeks pass ill find a lot more and its only on the lower buds to not the huge main colas (touchwood) Its all stemmed from this banners plant i had i was just plucking em off daily but then i actually grabbed a bud opened it with my hands and their was a fairly few off these nanners growing inside the buds that i coudnt see with the open eye,

I thurally check my other plants every day for nanners and their is none at at all (touchwood) again lol

I cant wait until this grow is finished and i can have a good clean, I have already bought the seeds off Sensi Seeds this time i bought 10 white widows nealry a £100 i heard they are up there with genetics, Plus im planning on having 6 in a 1x2 1x2 2m tent when ive done this grow, 3 rows off 2

11 Litre square pots, What do you think?

Anyone else can chime in on this one to i need all the advice i can get.

You obviously are not speaking from experience. I've had plants herm out back when I first started growing, had no idea plants even did that so the I found all the seeds in a nice plants I was puzzled.

My buddy ended up popping and running some of those beans and so did I and zero of the seeds hermied. And all 6 or 8 plants were just as dank as the mom. And that is just one experience, I've had several plants put out a selfed seed or 2 and maybe one or 2 of the tens of plants had any hermie issues.
 
Smithy, see em through to the end, hopefully seeding is minimal and you can pick em out, worst case get some bubble bags and make some nice hash.
Clean everything and move on to the next crop.
Just keep an eye on them, it may be they are more pollinated than you think and could spend all their time on producing seeds so may not swell and finish as expected, but they may just carry on and finish and you suffer less of a loss.

The damage is done at this point. You should probably go through your plants and check for nanners. Start low on the main stem and work you're way up, watching closely at each internode. Just to make sure because you have a few weeks to go, and seeds can form size wise in about 2 weeks.

I'd finish them out. The seeds aren't anything I would run first but could be saved as a backup. I've got some seeds from a Sin Mint Cookies plant I grew about 5 years ago that selfed a hand full of seeds. If I even need seeds or have room to run them I will. In the meantime, they are hanging out :).

The thing with hermies is most plants don't just do it themselves. There is usually some sort of stress trigger. I've seen it happen on the 2nd and 3rd generation of clones from the same mother plant. One clone maybe will get stressed somehow and throw a few nanners part way through flower. Usually, I just pic them off and move on with no issues.

I've also grown plants that fully showed both male and female sex parts and had to be cut so they didn't pollinate my whole garden.

One of the first grows I did was just a little closet grow, and I got males and females from some bag seed. I intentionally let them all go through their life cycles so I could FULLY observe how this plant grows from start to finish in a natural(ish) way. I think it taught my a lot about understanding the cannabis plant.

I also run hydro and don't believe in flushing ;).
