Seeds just not appearing out of soil but long tap root

  • I usually grow from seed and don't have many problems at the start but for some reason these seeds just dont wanna play.

    I bought two seeds purple haze and Russian#2 I soaked them in a paper towel then put them in a drugs bag and put on the sky box,after a day and a half the had grown a tap root I then placed the seeds root down in some Coco soil what was pre misted and covered the the little seeds.

    My question is why are they not popping out of the soil I have been waiting since Thursday and its now Tuesday please tell me something good

Not deep just flicked a bit of soil and i have been misting with rhizotonic and water and watered it too much [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Zubey91 had your seed rooted when you put in the soil mate.[/FONT]

the seed is popping outta the soil with the root in the soil but the seed wont come off, it looks like? this happened to me recently with my burmese kush...idk why. It eventually died. hopefully thats not what is going on here.

The simple fix for this problem is take a little piece of wet paper towel, dime size, and set it on that and that will soften it up and you can slide the shell off without damaging the initial leaves.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck m8, Bad seed, I'd just start fresh.

Understandably the option may be to try and make these babies work, in that case Punk hit the nail right on the head.
