seeds with no male plant

just a question.. i am a legal grower. and have done a few different cycles now. ive met a lot of other growers in my area and checked out there setups
ive seen a lot of different things, until today i seen something i never seen before.
i checked out a buddies setup was helping him out and his plants have been flowering for about 7 weeks and they are all females. never had a male plant in there. all 6 plants have nice buds growing..but there are seeds mixed in with the nugs and also falling off the plants landing in his soil .. so many seeds started falling that new plants even started to sprout, lol..
any explanation for this. i've never seen this happen when there are 6 plants all growing nice delicious looking buds. no male in sight

Hermaphrodite is the term you are looking for and your buddy has one in the room, Females can stress and make male parts. in the bizz we callem hermis it happens when a light cycle gets messed up. got to find it or it can ruin his whole room of buds.

so the hermi can actually grow these buds as well as screw everything up.. yea theres like hundreds of seeds all over the room but the buds look amazing.
so im going tell him to look for the hermi
should he continue growing it separated from the other plants seeing how it still has bud on it?

by the time he moves all the plants about looking for any hermis he can spread pollen every where. it could be the smallest branch of the biggest plant that decided to go perpetual. if he finds it just snip the hermi parts off. will look like male balls hanging at the bud node sites

keep the seeds they will be 100 % female for the next go round. Females that turn hermi is still female just with male parts so it breeds 100% feminized seeds

what a shame huh .. way to ruin a nice grow.. so if its just one branch on one plant, if he snips it it will stop pollinating??
now the only way to get a hermi is from stressing a plant? or does it have to do with messing up light cycles?

stressing a plant makes it think its life is about to end so it will make itself a hemi to make seeds so is genes will live on. light is usually a root cause. if your in veg and your lights go to a flower timing then back to veg timing then you run the risk of stressing the plant. get rid of the male parts then the problem is gone. until then seedy pot it will be.

well he has a bunched of these seeds that landed in his soil probably about 10 all sprouted and growing.. lol and since the light is in flower cycle they went right into a 12/12 cycle they all have hairs growing off them no buds yet.. so they r either going to be females or hermies.. no males. ill let you know when he finds out

just walk into your grow room one day find 10 new plants with hairs all over them haha

yes you will get female seeds, but, female seeds with a higher risk of going hermi.
