So I was wondering if about seedling planting. I used 5 gallon buckets and planted some . A few turned out and one died. The one that died it seemed like the root didnt grow after it was planted at all and lived 14 days but i killed it with nuts and noticed the root didnt grow from when I planted it.

Should I start seeds in plastic red cups with holes in them and water with just water. Or can I plant the seed in the 5 gallon bucket of soil and never transplant it.

THanks

It is all up to you and your preference. I personally use the red cup method this way if the plant does not make it, i did not waste all of that soil. Also, using solo cups (red cups) saves space and gives you the ability to germ more. Using fem seeds, I always germ 2 more then i plan on growing, thinking the worst that a couple will not germ or will die as seedlings. MOST times it doesnt work out & I end up w 2 more plants then I planned on though! Lol

i use 6" clay pots on the window sill. it all works. then move it out to a bigger container or the garden after sexing.
