Ive grown White Widow and their Original skunk #1. both were above avg overall. id be willing to grow them again
the WW does very well with topping, LST, supercrop, training etc. easy to keep them in compact bushes of colas. i grew 8 or 9 of them under 2 600s and ended up w/ 13oz but only vegged 3-3 1/2 wks at most under 1 600w so it is what it is. its plenty potent. very sticky. decent smell. almost 1 hitter quitter stuff. it was probably a 2-3 hitter quitter (amount of tokes to get more than a headchange. 1 hit would get you a headchange though) it can be racy in moderate doses (.5g-1g)
the skunk #1 was also a fairly compact plant. grew pretty nicely. strongest smelling strain i ever grew. i only grew 1 among several others at the time under 2 600s. yield was solid. just shy of 3oz in a 3gal pot. smokes nicely. it was maybe 55/45 leading towards the sativa effect slightly. its only 8.1%thc according to seedsman but dont let that discourage you. i think the skunk#1 is an AWESOME daytime/all day smoke. it gets you high pretty easily (you dont need 1g to catch a buzz) but doesnt get you messed up to where you cant go about your day. it very well can be "get sh*t done" weed.
seedsman is supposedly the original breeder of skunk#1 and judging on what i experienced id be inclined to agree. the smell alone let me know this was definitely skunk #1. dead skunk on a pile of rotting fruit mixed in with a musty dirty gym clothes funk is probably the right description of the smell. my gf was CONVINCED it was moldy bud. i checked...nope...just SUPER DUPER stinky buds.
the smell is definitely the best part of the strain. carbon filter required unless you live miles from your neighbors. you could smell my skunk outside of the house! (i live far enough away i got away without a filter). the longer you get in flowering the worse it smells.
overall i'd say its a good smoke.
i havent tried anything else from them.
i would say seedsman is at least worth a try because i dont have anything negative to say about them and ive grown a total of 10 plants (2 strains) from them without any problems with plant uniformity...hermies...or any other common complaint of breeders that are crap. besides you can get regs from them for pretty cheap (ive seen many under $40 for a 10 pack of regs). thats a good deal imo.
