Greetings folks,
I'm in the process I compiling a reserve of seeds so I can have my own seed bank filled with diverse genetics collected from across the globe. I'm building this seed bank with the intent of being a breeder. I believe that breeders should have original landrace, heirloom genetics so as to preserve and sustain the genetic diversity. Preservation of genetic diversity is especially important in a world which loses genetic diversity fade daily. Cannabis is no exception. Without mindful breeders preserving heirloom genetics, we tokers will inevitably lose the diverse characteristics of heirloom genetics to a homogenizing melting pot of commercialized hybradization.
I already have many of the contemporarily popular strains such as blackberry kush, vanilla kush, purple cheese, gods breath, Chem dog cheese, sour diesel, original diesel, and others. I'm now focused on collecting A. Heirloom genetics, mostly sativas as commercial hybridiZation neglects sativas in favor of fast flowering indicas and B. special strains that are particularly high quality, triple A ( top aroma, altitude, and aesthetics). Examples of the heirloom genetics I seek to collect are: many of ace seeds strains such as malawi, guatemala, panama, Pakistani chitral kush, Thai stick, golden tiger, Vietnamese black Thai, congo, purple haze, nepalese jam, Hawaiian snow (maybe Maui waui, do yall reccomend any pure Hawaiian strains of superb quality?), Acapulco gold (or what is the best Colombian gold strain you reccomend?). Examples of top quality "boutique buds" that I've been looking at are: electric lemon haze, liberty haze, tangerine dream, the purps, flo, f13, purple krush, nl#5xskunk#1, liberty haze, g-13, Himalayan gold, etc.
Do y'all have any reccomendations in terms of seed banks, strains, countries of origin, heirloom genetics, or any other suggestions? At the moment, I'm leaning toward Ace Seeds, DJ Short, Sensi Seeds, Barney Farms, DNA, TGA and/or subcool. As you can probabanly tell, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the choices >.<.
Thanks,
