Seekining Advise Please

Goin at my first grow

Im only growin 1 plant in the corner of my closet 22x24

my main question is as far as lighting goes would a 250w hps light be to much for this small space (heat wise) alot of people are saying stick with the cfl's under my circumstances

already got my fox farms soil tryin to get this movin !!

Any education will be appreciated
 
2x2 is way to small, an awful lot of risk for very little in return ...rethink or sink!
 
not constently.... but if its open no heat issues ?? how much do the things you put the hps light bulbs in cost serious amateur over here
 
CFLs of the same wattage (250w) are less efficient than HPS at producing light, resulting in them producing more heat. The heat of cfl's is just more diffuse, just like its light.

The HPS gives more lumens AND you the added bonus that it's possible to keep the ballast outside the room-- I'd go with an HPS.

whats ballast ??
 
can sum1 give a link of a ballast i would need for my bulbs have the bulbs nothin to plug them in to
