Selling in San Jose?

Hello. I'm sorry if this isn't the best area to post this, but I didn't really see a better one. In advance, my questions are not meant to offend...just trying to learn.

For the past 1-2 years, my mom & I have been saving for a move to San Jose. We've got enough to buy a small place & can sink up to $8,000 in a set-up (both of us will be Prop. 215). I know how to grow but, from other posts I've read, it looks like the biggest problem we may face is trying to sell our excess...some would be grown just for sale.

Can anyone share insights into how hard it would be for us to do this, at a fair market value?

One drawback is that we don't know anyone in the area and I've read about the difficulty of selling directly to dispensaries. Could we join a handful of co-ops & sell easily through them? Would it be feasible to start up a small delivery service (with just a couple of strains) or would this fall under "growing with intent to supply" & be a big no-no? What about wholesalers? Should I even consider doing business with them & would they even deal with smaller grows like ours? If so, how would we go about finding one?

Any comments, suggestions, insights, personal stories, cautionary tales, etc. would be most appreciated.

I don't know about cali but in CO I'm pretty sure you have to be part of a co-op to sell to dispensaries, not positive though. this site might not be the best place for this question you might want to ask the local growers in san jose

i think that you would have to talk to each dispensary individualy.
make sure you're meds are preeeeemo.

some places are kinda sketch and some will say they will put it on consignment, meaning when they sell it, you will get your money.
but like tiny said above, each place is different, it wouldnt be a bad idea to become a patron of the clubs around your area to be and maybe even get your clones at one of these places, if its dank and you know these guys from coming in often, they will be more incline to want to do business with you.

Thanks for the replies so far...I'm hoping I can meet some San Jose growers here. I'm just trying to find out some of this stuff before I go out there & make a BIG mistake. I can't afford to go out there, get rollin' and fail.

i heard you can get you meds tested in oakland to show the thc content and then its easy er to make some kind of deal in the dispensary but here in cali u can ask for donations for extra meds even on craigs list
