I don't believe in God, but God Bless California.

I love that I can grow the medicine I need for my pain without fear... at least I HOPE I can.
I have all the documentation I need, but I honestly still worry about local LEO's not giving a shit.

I just want to grow my own supply of meds in my little tiny cab and be left alone, you know?

So, today is day 3 in my dryer. Everything was feeling about ready to put into jars for curing except for the cola on the Sensi Star. I thought that was odd, so i pulled back a few of the middle buds, and what did i find?

mold.

depressing.

I have grown with the exact same setup before without this issue, so with that out of the equation...

As I see it this could be two things:
1) the buds were so dense (either from genetics or BushMaster / Purple Maxx) that they were molding while still growing in the system.

2) Since i tried to dry it as pretty much a 1-cola centerpiece, it molded in the dryer due to its density.

The little Purple Wreck is drying nicely, and I did a little test vape tonight. The stray buds of Sensi were fine, and i was able to salvage about 1/3 of the cola.

I am really glad I have that plant cloned so that I can give it another shot.

Mold. Fucking lovely.

Hey everybody, I could use a little advice!

So here is the deal:
I have some plants from seeds (and a SS clone) in my dwc cloner that are ready for flowering. I would like to take a really strong clone and let the rest of the plant be forced into flower through lighting and bushmaster.

Should I take the clone off of the top of the plant in this case or the bottom of the plant? I am only wanting one really strong cutting off of each plant, so that I have to option of continuing to use any genetics I like after this grow.

Any OTHER feedback is also APPRECIATED GREATLY.

Thanks er'body

Jorge Cervantes says cuttings taken near the base of the plant root faster because they contain more of the hormone that produces roots.

But on here, you have many people who say to take cuttings from the top.

So this answer doesn't really help, but it's the conclusion I came up with when doing my own cuttings. I have taken my cuttings from every part and have 100% success so far so in all honesty I don't think it matters much.

I think that cuttings anywhere will root if you care for them properly. That said, it would still be nice to know what cuttings will root fastest.

So, I am ready to make the transition to flower with my new seedlings.

Today I added 5 ml of BushMaster to my 2.5 gallon veg dwc tub (also has Grow It Green and SPT in it running at 1100ppm). I also took clones from 5 of those plants as well as one from the Sensi Star clone (i want to keep it the same size as the other clones for use in the flowering period over this one. i discarded the "donor").

I also trimmed most of the lower leaves from the donors to free up some space.

I intend on keeping the donor plants in the veg container with the Bushmaster for 48 hours. After that I will transfer them to larger cubes in the flower cabinet with grow it green (learned my lesson), flower power, and Super Plant Tonic.

I will also be foliar feeding the first two weeks with Foliar Harmony and Purple Maxx (learned another lesson). No more foliar feeding after that.

As for the clones, in 48 hours they will be transferred into the dwc cloner below. The res you see above is in its last use. the one replacing it is identical from IKEA but is twice as tall. This should help with being able to leave town more freely for a week at a time. That always makes me nervous with this micro system.

Speaking of which... I am leaving for vacation in a week and I will have the donors in the flower cabinet then. Do you guys think it will be OK for a week with 6 gallons of water?

Here are photos.
1) before cloning/trimming
2) after cloning/trimming
3) clones (all but SS clone)

well, i threw out a great deal of it due to bud rot, but I think I was somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 oz even after that. If I had to guess, that little 20" SS had somewhere around 1.5-2 oz on it total.

the sensi is fabulous.

i am well familiar with Sensi Star, as I have been getting it from my caregiver for years now. really hits you with the couch-lock, though.

i am actually really impressed with the taste and effect of the purple wreck. the high is really upbeat for an indica cross, and the flavor is nice and spicy at first with a mellow finish. i would call it the herbal equivalent to a good australian malbec.

I'm interested in the cabinet you're using, how do you like it? Very noisy? Whats your turn around, harvest every 60-90 days? Medical marijuana was just made legal in my state this yr and I'm looking into getting one of those cabinets but was wondering if it would be big enough. .......Thanks for any info....

The cab is PLENTY big if you are just growing for yourself. You can comfortably keep 4-5 plants in it.

I actually don't use the hydro system that came with it anymore. I am currently growing in soil.

I also got rid of their crap odorsok filter and got a good canister filter.

And yes, the fans are a bit on the noisy side.

All in all though... i like growing in the metal cab. It is relatively stealth.

I've always been outdoor grower and this indoor thing is all new to me. With the searching I've done so far I'm finding out ebb is a good way to go. Don't know enough about soil indoors......guess I could treat it the same way I grew outdoors, not sure enough to just jump in doing it that way.....I like that cab because it's small and would be easy to move and has a clone side. Only seen one other grow cab like the one you have, only thing is it had a different type of hydro system, tried finding measurements too but couldn't seem to find any......You still run the 400w bulbs that came with it?

yeah... i still have the same bulb and ballast. They work well and the air cooled light keeps the temps around 84 F during lights on.

Not bad.

BTW... the "hydro system" that comes with it could be built for about $40 or less.... with the same parts they use. The tub, BTW, can be bought at ikea.

That said, I do like my cab, the convenience of having it ready to go, and the customer service.
