Serious PH problem in kellog patio plus - 8.2 runoff

Anyone else use this? My runoff is 8.2, and even after flushing 5 gallons of water through my 1.5 gallon pots it is still sitting around 8.. I adjusted the ph of the water used to flush all the way down to 4.8, and still didn't help. My ph pen is accurate, i calibrated it between almost every test. My garden isn't happy, and this appears to be my problem... any suggestions?

apply elemental sulpher, and try to use an ammonium based source of nitrogen.http://www.extension.purdue.edu/extmedia/HO/HO-241-W.pdf
The only problem with sulfur is it take months before bacteria turn enough of it into sulfuric acid to actually lower the pH... iron sulfate is faster but still not an instant thing (weeks) and additionally provides a source of iron for the plants - but you also have to use more of it compared to sulfur. Depending on how buffered the soil is to a high pH, you may have to pH adjust the water/feedings with a pH down product to get the plants through for awhile until your amendments start to kick in.

When your flushing, you can try adding some white vinegar. Get it to the PH you want before you start the flush; also someone was asking what soil you are using.

Incorrect. Chicken shit lowers ph (sours it)in soil .
Lime will raise the ph.

"Chicken manure does not acidify soil: it tends to raise the pH. Actually, one study demonstrates that chicken manure is as effective as lime in raising soil pH" A quote from the very link I posted.
