serious root bounds plants

Has anyone let a midflowering plant go rootbound for a couple weeks before they realized what the problem was? My symptom include no bud growth for weeks, fan leaves dying and turning odd colors, and weird new growth shoots I think its foxtailing. Any information would be extremely helpful.

Pics??
I have done it but feed often so no tip dieback was prevalent ...
The new growth makes it sound like it reverted to veg again??

I thought a light leak too but its a virtual sun grow tent all the utility and vent slits are sealed up appropriately. And also the foxtails growing very few calyxs so don't think its in veg. And when I say root bound I mean there was a 3/4" layer of tangled roots at bottom of pots. I cut the bottom inch off the pot and untangled the root ball, misted the root ball with very mild H202 solution and put the bottom less pot into a identical pot with 6" of peat and watered with superthrive 2 drops per gallon IMAG0033.jpgIMAG0031.jpg

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. how big is the pot thats in? that looks like shit bro. i would never let a plant go 1/2 that bad before i tore it apart and tried to figure it out. i mean at first glance it looks like over-ferting. but if your sure thats not it, and pH is fine, and salts are low, and its still in a 12oz plastic cup better used for beer pong... i mean... what could it be?

I've got them in in 3 gallon pots (really 2.2g) but like I said before my soil is 75% peat 25% hydroton I think the hydroton is crowding the fuck out of the root system. I have 3 other plants in 5g buckets same nutes same everything not a prob with them they ate gorgeous

5 gallon pot...and looks like needs nitrogen but that could be lack of O2 to the roots. Some good premade soil may help.

It looks as though you've been seeing crispy leaves, so you think it needs water, so you've been watering it, actually overwatering it. It's totally suffocated absolutely fucked. Seen this happen with a plant forgot outside under a rain gutter...

I grew half pound plants in a quart pots outside. I used MG moister controll soils with GH floral series nuts. After harvesting I examined the root ball only to find out I could have vegged them longer. Roots were mostly around the edges of the pot and very little in the center of the soil. The only problem I seen was watering... the pots dried out 2 to 3 times a day. I would feed them twice a day with GH ppm 250-350 every watering N-P-K for veg 2-1-2.

Weed does not get root bound a root ball of about 6 inchs squared is plenty of surface area to support huge plants/nugs.

Your problem is most likely deference/toxicity or disease.
