Sorry for the lame pics but i was thinking of this setup for when I flower do you think I'd see a noticable difference in yeild or would it be better to just use the 1000w and 400 w h.p.s separte and the c.f.ls for the lower bud sites on both like in pic 2

I wonder if your light placement will make the plant heavier or lighter on any given side, as if one side will be the "good side", other yields crap, and one yields medium. Its a good mix- but I just wonder about the placement in relation to the plants. Some plants will get more of x light than the other- so uneven distribution may be a problem?

Im just guessing

why use hoods in the first place? i mean if thats the way you want to go more power to ya. but if you lay everything out like you have in your pics you cant run co2. your pulling room air out on most hood. dont get me wrong there are hoods that dont pull room air out, but they are pricey and need a place to pull air from that isnt in the room. so youll have to have 2 vents for each light to run co2.
or just use cool tubes and call it a day. you can DIY some for next to nothing. i think ive got about 50 bucks into both mine. and they work just fine.
either way good luck:peace:

Use option B and forget about the CFLs. They'll contribute next to nothing with the big HPS lights going. It's like taping a flashlight to your front bumper when you already have your high beams on. Insignificant aid.

If you get poor development on lower branches, just don't grow any. Do a SoG style op, in which clones are flowered as soon as they have set root
and branches on the lower 1/3 of the plant are snipped off in week 1 & wk 3.
