Looking for help setting up my grow.
I'm not 100% how I want to go about this.
I've got a garage that I can use, it's 13x30', no AC inside of it as of right now, it's just a block garage, temps right now since it's winter, at night it's about 69 or lower depending on how it is outside, during the day it's about 74 or so, some days it gets up to 80 something. I mention this first because it is my main concern, I don't want to have to continually buy items I don't need for cooling if I later decide it's easier to keep cool a different way.
Right now I'm thinking I should build a room in the garage in the back, 5'x8' and I'm going to insulate it. My first choice was to buy a portable ac and put it in the room and have a 4" blower pulling air through the 400W light hood and carbon filter and blowing that air back into the garage.
With this idea my worries are that I will suck all the cool air out and have the AC constantly running. I'm going to be keeping the fan on because of the smell with this idea constantly too. Right now since it's winter it may not really matter, but I'm preparing for 95degree summers here.
Also with this idea, I won't really be able to use CO2 I feel like...
I have a few other ideas on how to cool it too...
Maybe a cool tube with axial fans, and inside the room I could keep a blower blowing through the carbon filter to eliminate smells, on top of that have a window AC built into the room, or a portable AC venting outside of the building. With this method, would you think it'd be alright to run the cool tube with the window AC? I think the garage may get too hot releasing all that hot air and eventually the cool tube wouldn't work because of all the hot air. Also, with this idea, for the winter, I may be able to just use the cool tube without AC and then I'll be able to afford one later.
What's your guys take on this?
In a southern state so it gets hot in the summer and the garage is the only place I have to do this, also I'm definitely building an 8'x5' room inside the back corner of the garage.
Trying to be as specific as possible so you guys can help. Buying the 4" fan, carbon filter, and 400W from HTG.
Inside the 8x5 room, I plan on partioning off a 2.5'x2.5' space for the 400W and then I'm going to just place a light divider in the middle, the other part of the room I'm growing mushrooms in mycotubs... you think the CO2 emitted from the shrooms can possibly help the plants?
