Several Good trichome pics

I got a cool new toy. It is a USB microscope that goes up to 200x. I was able to get it to focus pretty good at about 180x. I have taken pics of 3 different buds from 2 plants - 2 from a WW plant (plant1) and 1 from an unknown plant (plant2). On plant1, I took some from the top bud and some from a lower bud.

On Monday, it will be 7 weeks of flowering and after all the help from here I figured that I would need to go 9-10 total. But, after looking at the trichomes today, it looks like they me be much closer than I thought. I see clear trics, cloudy trics and amber trics. I see quite a few amber trics on plant 2 (pics 1,2 and 3). I see some amber trics (although bulbs are smaller) on the top bud of plant1 (pics 3 and 4) and I see almost all clear on the lower bud of plant 1 (pics 5,6 and 7).

Anyone care to comment? Do you think some may be ready very soon or am I seeing something incorrectly? I have not started to flush yet, but I am starting to lower the ppm a little.

i assume the first pics are from a bigger leaf and the lower ones are from closer to a bud. if this is the case then you look like you're really close. the trichs on the outer bigger leaves will usually turn amber first.

Yeah man those usb microscopes are really good for tric pics.
I was gonna buy one myself but i bought a camera instead.
Great shots though really show the trics properly.
Best of luck with it:blsmoke:

looks like you should think about flushing soon, then harvest in a week or two just don't let the trichs get completely amber or you won't leave your couch.

The tricome pics - The 1st pics are from the biggest plant from the top bud. The 2nd pic is from the top bud of the white widow plant. the 3rd pic is from a lower bud on the white widow. (BTW, the seeds just said WW so I am assuming white widow but I dont remember since I bought a long time ago).

I have attached plant pics from a couple days ago so they dont match exactly since the trichome pics are from today. Funny thing is that the plants dont really look ready from the eye, but the trichomes do.

I definite do NOT want all couch high, but I want to be patient and wait as long as it takes since I worked so long at this, I dont want to stop before they are truly done. I do not NEED anything right now. I just want to do the right thing. i have read a lot about people cutting too soon and also a lot about people waiting too long.

The first pic is of the white widow and the 2nd and 3rd pics are the other plant. I will get more pics tomorrow, but today it isnt possible.

BTW, when I flush I assume I should use Reverse Osmosis water all by itslef (I bought florakleen but it has not arrived yet). I currently am using stuff that i buy that has a ppm of basically 0. My water here seems to fluctuate between 50 and 250 ppm which is probably a lot of shit that my plants would not like.

you are right to the eye they don't look ready except for the last one, but the trichs don't lie its the only way i know of to truly determin when its ready.

How long did it take your WW to start producing? Those pics are fucking beautiful btw.
It was wierd. Since this was my 1st I did not know what the heck I was doing. I thought I killed them all at least twice. Thankful for this site. Dont know how folks did it before the net .... Heck, I almost purposely killed the WW since at 1st I thought it was male and luckily I didnt since the other WW was clearly male (that I killed) which was how I could tell this one was female. At the time, the WW was half the size of the others.

The WW veg'd for 3-4 weeks and the others veg'd for about 8 - since I started the WW after I thought the others were dead. The WW started showing nice at 4-5 weeks and clearly it is a nicer plant covered in trics. I feel dumb since I dont know what you mean by "produce", but the bud on the WW is now much bigger than the others and has more of them that are bigger and thicker. It seems to have a shorter cycle than the others and has always looked healthier - although smaller - until now.

I will say that I expect that the non-WW ones to be good. When I smoked the stuff I got the seeds from, it was sweet and totally awesome. I freakin' rolled around laughing so hard I was crying. I hope this shit is half that good. Of course, my tolerance is a lot lower than it is for gin ;-)

Sorry to ramble, but I am actually quite giddy. I've kill every tomato I ever tried to grow. Of course I just go to the market and buy some when I need them when I kill my own. Of course, if I checked the pH level and nute level and everything else every day on my tomotoes I might be able to grow them as well, but who cares about tomatoes.

So here are todays pics as I promised. Again, Plant1 is the one I thought was WW and Plant2 is the unknown. Well, I guess they are both unknown, but they are different. The buds arent super big (the biggest ones seem to be about 3 inches), but many are starting to look done.
