Severe Underwatering - Can I Save Them?

Afternoon everyone!

I'm working on my first grow and things were going surprisingly well, minus mild problems here and there that were easily handled. The babies were three weeks into flowering and taking off like crazy.

Then I was in an accident and hospitalized for two weeks with no one I could trust to take care of my babies for me and no way to do it myself. Now that I've returned home, I've of course found the plants almost completely dead. Most of the branches and leaves are brittle and brown, but there is still a few parts of most of the plants that are green.

At this point, I'm not sure what to do. Do I continue to water them and hope they come back, trim off everything that's dead and care for what's left, or just take it as a loss and start over. Also, is the bud that had developed any good or is it dry to the point I can't use it, even for edibles? What do you all think?

Thank you in advance for any help!

All you can do is water em and see what happens. Sometimes they come back. I wooldn't trim anything yet, the plant will drop whatever is completely dead on its own. You can definitely get some THC out of not fully developed buds. You could make some hash out of it and see what you get, I think smoking it wouldnt do much for ya.

Hope youre feeling better!

I've seen other types of plants, worm wood especially, do a 180 in just a day if it's green and seems alive watering would do something over night

Yes, give it water. I had one in a solo cup root bound. I decided I didn't want it. It dried out and looked almost dead. All brown. I transplanted and watered and its doing great.

if your soil is just running off due to being to dry and cracked, add a few drops of dawn dish soap(the original without antibacterial and fragrance) to a gallon of water. works as a wetting agent and will allow your soil to absorb more water
