is it possible to bloom plants just long enough to determine sex (2 weeks)

Yes, it is possible. I have never done it but have been assured it will work. From what I gather, you will sex them under 12/12, cut them back and switch the lights back to 24/0 or whatever you prefer to veg under and the plants will begin to take off again. In one grow I read through, the guy sexed, pollinated, harvested the seeds then revegged for the sensi buds. I'm thinking of doing this with some clones taken from the seeds I bought, as I'm sure I will get males out of the batch. Mainly the plants will be growing outside while sexing the clones, so I will know ahead of time which outdoor plants to cull. And with pollenating the indoor babies I will have a nice stock of seeds should something go wrong.

thank you for the reply, i agree. my purpose is to pick out females along with a couple mothers once i have the mothers back in veg i will bud the left over females. while they are in 12/12 i will start clones for preflower and hopfully in a couple months ill be harvesting every 28

i am starting 2 new strains from seed and would like to avoid sexing by clones,, if successful my processs will be sped up by 4 weeks more or less
i have collected the very best seeds for 30 years + i use whaat is available to me these 2 i call (megs county#1 skunk) & (poconos trip weed)

sounds like alot of stress to the plants

it'll work, but does stress them, have done it before, even taken clones way after 12h started with success....... but is it WAY eacier to put some clones throu 12h for determining sex...... OR.... you can cover one lower branch everyday so it only gets 12h light, do it for 2 weeks and that branch will show it's sex, but you gotta find something to cover just that branch, and it's gotta be light tight yet breath... that work, havn't done it but seen a buddy do it...
