Sex?

Its 3 days away from being 4 weeks above ground. Im a newbie so excuse me if im totally off lol. Is this a pollen sack starting to grow? It doesn't look like new leaves to me and its very tiny in the spot where a plant would show sex. Pls help. If its a male i beed to remove it asap.

That is new leaves. They won't even begin to start showing signs of sex until at least 6 weeks.

Ok im probably just being impatient lol. I guess after you put so much work and time into it you want them to produce bud not seeds. Ive read males usually start around 4-6 weeks before females
 
You've got lots of time to sex that plant before you'd have any issues ....just a heads up ...a male will throw his balls in your face and make it real obvious well before he could pollinate any of your ladies.....I only tell you that because I've seen people pull plants because they ((thought)) it was a male ....no need for guessing ...you have plenty of time to remove a male once dingle berries have shown up .....GL
 
My brother happened to botice this today and said it really was a preflower coming in. In the 2nd pic youll see a hair growing out of the stalk. Im not really sure what thats about but it hasnt been there. Any ideas if hes right or is it somr kind of new growth?

Hmmm...dunno! Hard to tell if it is the beginning of a ball or a deformed new leaf. 2nd pic looks most telling.

Here is a 7 week old The Black showing balls....just culled him and replanted with a confirmed female!

Damn i only have 1 in veg atm so im praying its a she lol. Im not sure what them are but they're popping up on a few different inernodes
 
Yea im learning its all still exciting to me but anyways heres a updated pic from this morning. In my opinion its looking more like a female then a male

There's nothing there showing any sign of anything. You're going to have to wait for a couple of weeks after 12/12.
 
Aw. And i got all excited thinking you were asking if we wanted sex... Guess im just gonna have to play alone.

Give it a few days. Maybe even a week.or so. You'll know by then if you've got a girl or boy.
 
From research ive read that it really doesnt matter about age or weeks or even manipulation of lighting... Its all about the plants maturity. Strains are different. Thats why some show at 4 weeks and some show at 7 or 8. If your plant has alternating nodes then its maturing. My nodes started alternating at about 3 weeks. The mysterious thing right on the internode behind the stipil is not new leaves coming in and its def something as i can physically see it.
 
Yeah a few of my strains i have right now didnt show for months of veg. thankfully they were feminised anyway. dont rush! if you cant take waiting for this how do you make it through 10-12 weeks of flower.. ntm those last few weeks just staring at those resinous motherfuckers.. that can be hell lol. also if its a male its no big concern. youll definitely know well before it produces viable pollen
