Sexing early and returning to veg

What's up guys?

Here's my plan. I'm going to start a tray of seeds under lights and let them grow for a couple of week. When they all have a couple levels of leaves, I'm going to flower them to find the females and get rid of the males. Then I'm going to put the females outside, causing them to revert back to a vegetative state and then flower later in the season like they're supposed to. Has anyone done this before? Does anyone know if it causes any damage or loss of poetency or yield by doing this? What do you think?

It won't cause damage of loss of potency,
but they will be stunted due to the revertion.

If you have the time, you may want to wait
until some internodes are a few inches long,
and use them to determine sex instead of
the parent plant.

I assume you are doing outdoor, and I only
do indo under a controlled lighting cycle and
can't say for sure how they would come out.

Just for an example, these are some Blueberry
clones I took from mothers after flowering for
two weeks under a 600watt HPS.

They are the smallest, and fattest BB I've
grown so far. They averaged about 1', and
each yeilded about an oz".

How big would those usually get? I've grown blueberry in a bucket system a few years ago and they got about 4 - 5 feet tall and about 3 feet across. We got 6 - 8 ounces per plant.

I wish I had the time and space to clone these and flower the clones. Unfortunately, only 3 out of 72 have come up so far after 4 days under 1000w HPS for 18 hours a day. I know that's a strong light for seeds, but the only other choice is a 4 foot 2 bulb flourescent (just not enough). I've got to sprout as many as I can and find as many females as I can and get them outdoors no later than May 1st. After that, too much of the season is gone.

You might have better luck germinating if you tried a wet paper towel in a covered container. The seeds have enough stored carbohydrates to fuel them through the first few days (no light required). They just need to be activated with a little water and they take off on their own. When they have little tails take them and plant them tail down being extremely careful not to damage the tails. Good luck

That's how I did the first 72, but all the seeds rotted and not one busted the soil. These are all starting to sprout, which is great. Has anybody else done this and experienced stunted growth?

there is a problem flowering then reveging can stress the plant and cause it to herm id suggest taking clones when u put em out and flowering them to find out just make sure u mark withc one tooking from witch plant

Revegging clones just showing won't hermie
if your working with good genes. Just take
care of them, and put them on a constant
life cycle right away.

If your using unkown seeds or some shit
hybrid, It's likely the parent plant they came
from had some hermie traits...Hermies should
be expected.

The type of strains have something to do with
it, but I think genetics play the biggest factor
in stability.

the seeds are bag seeds, from really good mid grade mexican sativa. I've grown them before and they produce very well. I think I can live with a few hermies easier than I can live with getting to August and 80% of my plant are males. Theres nothing you can do about it in August. Also, I hate taking the risk of getting caught caring for plants that turn out to be male. Cops don't discriminate. Male or female, it's all weed to them and you go to jail just the same.

Nothing wrong with Mex sativa, If you are patient, it takes a while to mature, grown right (sensi) it's fine dope.
