Sexing this grow

I decided to start some new plants from seed, they are just over 1 month veging right now, and i want to begin weeding out the males asap. This is going to be a lst grow so i want to be able to have pliable stems and train them while they are still young [before stems begin to harden] I've never personally tried this method but needed to know how to sex the plants? My original plan was to sex by cloning...i.e. take a clone from each plant (i have them in numbered container) and put them in my jiffy 7 tray in an arranged order that would allow me to match each clone with its parent plant...put them under 12/12 directly and wait for each to show its sex then by knowing the sex of the clone i will know the sex of the parent and begin to weed out the males in this fashion. But then, another thought crossed my mind....why not just change my lighting to 12/12 for a week or two to induce both male and female pre flowers in the plants, discard the males, and then switch back to 18/6 and begin to tie and train the remaining females. Oh not to mention i will probably have to transplant one more time before i move them to the flowering area because they will likely outgrow the 1 gal containers they are in. what is my best course of action to take with this grow? any ideas?

I'm no expert, but I would use the cloning method to sex. Re-vegging can be dangerous (lead to hermies and stunted growth) and will add lots of time.
