It is a good light for a 2x2, however it is not dimmable. I would have went with the SF1000 ( whithout the D ) which has a dimmer.

Thought about that...but this is the one that comes with the package I got. I don't know that I would use the dimmer feature even if I had gotten it. Thanks for the reply!

It lists different diodes on their website. Just Samsung, so they may be different there too?

Just got a new kit with this light. Getting a 2x2x5 tent and planning on 2 plants per grow. Any thoughts on this light?
I’d jack it all the way up at first because of it being full throttle from the gate. I have a non dimmable light too but it’s a cheap brand. I connected it to a fan controller to try and be a smart ass, but all it did was flicker when I tried to lower the power. It did turn it on and off tho.

Yes I think diodes may also be different because ppfd measurments are different ( you get about 10% more on the regular model ).

Well if you ever upgrade to the dimmable version, you will lower your electrical bill costs by running it at lower intensity during seedling stage and first weeks of veg :)
