SH bubbleponics, clones: how long till I should bud

My uncle keeps asking me questions about growing and I don't have all the answers. He has a SH bubbleponics system. He has some sativas and some indica. He bought clones that had already rooted. He has had them in veg mode for a month now and is wondering when to switch them over to flowering mode. The tallest plant is already about two and a half feet. How long till he should start flowering???

Any height over 8 inches is good to go.

8 inches is kind of weak to me. I want large buds. How long can I grow in Veg state until it is absolutely necessary for me to Flower?

as long as you want. its up to you in indoor. but it depends on your grow space , because once you do decide to initiate flower it will keep growing for about another 2 weeks or so. many plants can double + their size. but if you already have a 4 ft plant i doubt itll double but i wouldnt put it past another 2-3 ft. again all depends on your strain.

I would star flower now you will get another foot or so of growth.
