Shake ballast to get light to come on

Hello,
Has anyone had this problem? I have to shake the ballast and the lamp will light. But if I don't shake it. nothing. ideas?

It's a 600W Lumitek

Sounds like a short somewhere check and make sure all connections are tight. also just try to move the cord around like it might work if you have the cord raise above or below or something. I don't have this ballast only using cfl atm but seen things like this many times.

Garbage man if you kept using this crap you're goanna set your place a blaze

If it is just a short you can find it might just need soldering or a new cord.
