Sharing my plant problem

Hello all,

Allow me to inform thee about my currently humble setup:
- Phantom deluxe growtent: 1.80m height, 4x4 (80cm x 80cm)
- Kind LED 750XL
- a simple heater (currently operated manually)
- A humidifier (operated automatically)
- Small non-oscillating fan
- Scrognet

Strain: 4 plants of the strain Bubblegum
Growth stage: in flowering (Approximately 4 weeks to harvest)
Grow environment: indoors, In the above mentioned tent the environment is manually maintained daily generally between: 68-78 degrees (20-26 Celsius) and 40%-50% RH
Growing medium: Soil Canna Terra Professional in 18 liter pots
Nutrient brand Plagron: Terra Grow, Terra Bloom, Purezym, Power roots, Green Sensation and PK 13-14
Current Watering and nutrient schedule per plant: Daily 500-600ml Tap water ( ph 6 ), between 1.25 ml - 2ml Terra Bloom and 1ml PK 13-14 daily (EC steadily below 1.8)

I will improve my setup in time and share with this forum the progress and improvements. Right now, I have a plant problem that needs immediate attention. I will give a description of the problem and my plan of approach to a solution. Plants show multiple issues, but I want to keep it simple by only focusing on 2 issues:

1. Problem First off I exceeded the minimum recommended distance to my plant canopy of 60 cm = 24 inch. Currently I am at 35cm = 13.77 inch. Basically, canopy is at 126cm=49 inch and the LED height is 161.5cm=63.5 inch. Growth has stopped, but the plants were increasingly under stress. Solution: I have accepted that I will not be able to fix the problem in this cycle anymore. In the next cycle I need to invest in a bigger tent or proceed with plant training. I would be happy with any another solution you could advise me. I have thought about my KIND LED settings like decreasing light intensity. I am currently at 100% RED, 90% BLUE and 100% white spectrum.

2. Problem: Obvious yellowing of the leaves that occurred aprox. two weeks ago. It is mobile and started from below the plant. I have gotten hold of Canna Mgo(magnesium bottle), but I an very cautioned to use it. Solution: My plan is to either tackle magnesium deficiency or boost nitrogen. Terra grow (veg. nutrient) has an abundance of nitrogen. So an entire week I plan on watering daily (ph 6 ) and every other day giving it Terra Grow together with PK 13-14 with tap water (PH 6 and EC starting with 1.5 until 1.8 max). After one week I want to review the issue and restart nutrients for flowering i.e. Terra bloom and PK 13-14. I would really appreciate any insight & solution with this issue.

I already tested the PH en EC in the soil prior to this post. PH at 6 and EC at 0.4. I made a controversial decision to place a small fan at the base of the plants, but by breaking the airflow of the fan with a plank. I did this to dissipate the mist from my humidifier that would otherwise build up at the base and mess with the soil moisture. Without the humidifier it would drop to 35%RH . As mentioned, the humidifier operates automatically and keeps a clean value between 40-50%RH

Below are some pictures:
It started like this on 14th of november

23 november it moved up closer to the bud sites

pictures under normal lights is alot easier to see than under the purple LEDS

If i had to guess its all yellowing because your only giving it pk 13/14 and it needs nitrogen

With all the playing around... I'm going with REALLY LOCKED UP. Just give water and finish the grow.

I would caution against adding too much N at this point in your grow.
If I thought I had a problem both with N and Mg, I'd tackle the Mg issue first, however, at 4 weeks from harvest you most likely won't affect much either way. I would also caution against too much water...watering daily in a peat based soil may catch up with you, if you're not careful. As Jypsy Dog is suggesting it may be best to just finish out your grow, take notes and make any corrections on your next go round. Good luck.

I guess your point of being conservative is also well put I appreciate the caution. I will stay away from magnesium for this round. Take my notes to improve the next cycle.

Next round I hope to automate more and keep a more efficient data logging feature..there are some interesting products to achieve these goals.

Taking notes for the next rounds is the wise approach. After a long internal debate I decided on experimenting with nitrogen instead of magnesium this round. Magnesium is a double edged sword so...yeah.....

My watering schedule is conservative from the start. I skipped many times depending on the soil moisture. If anything I am surprised how few of it the plant used this round under LED. I learned to tweak my watering more to adapt to LED. Especially in flowering these multitude of plant problems I have could be a result of the watering. In flowering it seems these is less room for error to make in environment en watering. Which is also true for VPD in flowering in contrast to Veggy time.

Bag of Maxibloom, Epsom and Cal/mag. It's really pretty simple. It's being fucked up and playing with a healthy plant that ruins grows.

I'll take your advise to the next cycle. I am familiar with epsom and cal mag. I am going to like Maxibloom thnks.

When you say "pretty simple", can you elaborate? You mean combine the three aforementioned?
I grow in Coco, so I need the Cal/mag and Epsom for it to work.
