Mine was an anomaly and I should have trusted my gut when I first identified it as a male. I've seen my fair share of hermi plants. This was the first one I've seen that had full on male flowers. Knowing what you need to look out for I think it's safe to grow these.

I'm going to try the Polar Gelato next. I'm planning on taking clones from one or two mums and running them in my hydro set up. I have to say I'm impressed with the Polar Gelatos on here and now I have hope to get it right! I have a few plants running now so that will see me busy until the end of March. The temps here will be starting to rise then so I will try the Polar Gelato then. I will start the parents next month. I'm excited! Peace.

I learned a new word today LOL. When I looked over the buds I didn't see the bananas that you traditionally expect to find on a hermi plant. A day or two after that pic it started throwing pistils so I figured I was wrong. I don't have a lot of experience with males.

Nice maybe you lucky cos ive heard alot of folk complain about the acai jelly hermying on em on a couple of other weed forums apparently its one to watch for it
So have I! So I was really careful with her. Then when I accidentally monstercropped her I figured it was a guarantee for herming. Imagine my surprise when it didn't! Anyway I'd rather be lucky than good.

Its common and desired in hemp or multipurpose Himalayan stuff but sadly as cannabis as a plant isnt very domesticated or worked what we all want is dioecious plants but sex in cannabis isnt so simple hence why we still see this

Got my veg tent plumbed although this design is siphoning and my other 2 tents don't. Probably because I have my plants on stands there so the elevation change is less. And because nothing succeeds as planned, sigh20240107_143903.jpg

Reveg has definitely yielded no beauty queens. I plucked most of the ugly leaves off. But I'll have a bumper crop of clones soon and then I'll flower.

Do your other systems lines go straight downfrom the bubbler to the cap as well? Or do they go lower and then back up to the cap?

Yup, they all go to the ground and up. It's the level of the emitters in relation to the surface of the res. And my res up here is narrower, so deeper/taller for a given volume. It's taken a while just sitting here thinking about it. I would have to build a rack AND switch to a broader shallower res to solve the problem. Not sure of installing a check valve will work but I have one handy. Didn't you drill an air hole in your setup for this purpose?

I did. I drilled a hole in the pipe from the pump above the water level. I drilled it at an angle so when pressurized, it shoots back down into the res.
