Hi everybody, new to the forum, not to growing. I'm legal to grow for medical reasons and have a small operation to support my meds. A while back I came up with a plan for a portable SCROG system made out of a four gallon bucket and pvc to attach the screen to it. In experiments I could get 3-4 ounces of bud off one of these with a 15"x15" screen grown in a 16"x16" growlab, under a 150 watt hps light. I've tried a few different sizes, this one I show you here is 10"x10" and will produce 2 ounces or more at a time. This Purps girl here is my last screen I'm doing for a while and I'm switching back to SOG, but the screens are great and maximize yields in very small spaces, I can fit nine of these 10" screens in a 31"x31" grow lab, I had an experiment going where you harvest one every 8 days, thats 2 ounces or more every eight days in a very small cabinet you can fit in your closet. Its a lot of work though, everyday maintenence, this is why I'm switching back to SOG for the time being, and I produce plenty of medicine for myself without screens. But here is a look at my last SCROG for a while and its The Purps from BCBD, I raised this girl from seed, she was the best of the bunch, pungent grape diesel smell that sticks in your nose for days, and the buds aren't huge, but they are hard rock nuggets. The plant here is 41 days into bloom with probably 3 weeks to go, she has been fed fox farms for the first month with the full line up, then I back off to just big bloom for the last month to enhance flavor and let the plant use up the nutrients left in the soil. The soil is whitney farms premium with lime and gypsum and blood meal added for nitrogen later in flowering. No perlite is added as I don't like the dust and the soil drains well anyways. At the moment she is in a 2x2 growlab with a 430 hortiilux, can filter and can fan with fresh air intake, she is sharing space with some blueberry(bcbd) and atomic northern lights sea of green plants, pics included. The light gives me over 14000 lumens per square foot and its ideal in my opinion. Peace and enjoy the pics. -Shimmy PS. The two macro shots and the scrog are the purps, the single cola shot is Northern lights and the several cola shot is blueberry, the sog plants are grown in 5 inch square pots and are 12 inches tall and will yield 15 dry grams.
