Shitty weed??

I'm drying the first plants I harvested and they sure don't smell like a good bag of weed. The plants went through hell bud budded. One fox tailed like a mofo and the other one had big hard dense buds. The fan and sugar leaves were all fucked though on both plants most of the grow. Anyways my drying tent is 59-65f and 60-68 RH (natural basement temp and rh) the weed didn't smell the whole time growing it unless I really messed with a bud and stuck my nose right next to it. Now it smells like a bunch of hay and I want to say chlorophyll. Day 10 in the tent. It's also a basement and has a slight basement smell so I put an air purifier in the tent with a fan to move the air. Also the big dense fat buds have shriveled and are no longer dense and really airy. The red hairs are sticking out like a quarter inch so they never receeded.

Is this just the result of not growing a healthy plant or am i worried too early and wait another week or so and then cure in jars and go from there?

If you didn't get any smell through the grow and based on how you describe the flower I'd say it mostly has to do with being shit flower. Good luck next time.

Sounds like you harvested premature fluffy buds. Probably not ripe and therefore lacking smell. Try drying it until the outside is crispy and the stem on the smallest branch snaps fairly easily than jar and than burp. Hopefully it gets some smell. Probably won't be to gassy though. By the way you describe it it's hard to imagine it "looks good".

I'm always strain/pheno hunting pain relief strains and I've found that is a function of poor genetics with husbandry being next. As for that hay smell just stay the course the chlorophyll will metabolize off during a correctly managed dry. Every grow you do will improve and every grow will teach you something and although this may not be terpy weed I bet it will get you high and I don't know about you but for me that's the point. I'm smoking/vaping/ingesting the drug for the high. Be proud you made it to the end. Not everyone does on their first few grows. Congratulations.

PS if you don't want to vape/smoke it, make edibles.
