short fence tall plants

Ok I am growing six plants in my backyard. They are all about 2 feet tall. My fence is 5 feet tall. I already know they are gonna peak over the fence during flowering. I am in Northern Cali and I have a medical cannabis card. My question is would you still chance it and grow in the backyard? Also any suggestions on tall cheap plants to border the fence? Dont want any drama form the police & nosey neighbors.

Train em over, they'll shorten the overall height plus I heard the stress is good for bud production. I did it last year and had great results.

I already topped them 30 days ago. They have been out back since 5/20/09. Leaning more towards "fuck it let em grow". The sour diesel is really taking off! I am going to OSH today and try to find a few of those tall potted plants as a border too. I guess a pinch or 2 wont hurt as well. Damn, nosey neighbors! I guess will have my paperwork ready for when my neighbors snitch me out.

depends on the kind of area your in. I grow in oakland and i dam shure dont want my shit poken over the fence even with card, because knuckleheads would most likey just chopem and take them.

good point Donkey. Thats a good enough reason to watch that fence line! I live on a dead end court with no traffic, kinda country. Really was just concerned about the neighbors front door being 10 feet away from my back yard!

Hey GoRealA...I had the same problem...I did some LST on mine and put a lattice up to "block the birds", thats what I 'm gonna tell anybody who asks, and I tied bits of silver ribbon to it to make it look more authentic(I see farmers around here do it to scare birds)...heres some pics...good luck bro!!!!!!!!! first pic is before last two are after

I dont think those plants will come over the fense during flowering. Maybe the tallest one and maybe if it were only may and they were that big.

yeah dude i think your going to be fine, but if they start to get tall just bend the top over alittle and tie it down, it wont hurt the plant just be gentle, and it'll probaly give more light to some other bud sites

Bend em' instead of topping. If your neighbors are that much of a problem won't "smell" be a larger issue down the road? Use a "Tuff Shed" next time just add ventilation fans and a carbon scrubber, bam!!
