Short Rider on 12/12..Why not

I was wondering... what would it hurt if you were to grow this strain on 12/12. It says on the seedbanks site that these can be grown outside any time of the season and harvested in a few months. Where I live we only have 14 hours at most of sunlight in the summer time and it gets less and less after July. So the question is...If you were to veg these babies for like a good week or so and throw them in the flower room why would that be an issue? They would grow until they wanted to flower and then start wouldn't they? I see people talking about these going hermi but why would they if the conditions were more natural than putting them on a 20/4 or 18/6 regiment?
