Short Stuff autoflowering perpetual grow

Strain: Short Stuff #1 (x2), Short Stuff Mix (x4) - ruderalis/indica autoflowering hybrid

Grow Medium: 75% Fox Farms Ocean Forest, 25% perlite in 10L pots

Nutrients: Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom

Lights: 26w 2700k CFL (x9), 26w 6500k CFL (x9) (468 total watts, 30600 total lumen)

Grow Space: Cabinet, 6 square feet of growing space.

Plant Date: 2/6/2010

This will be an all autoflower perpetual grow. After the plants show sex on day 17-20, I will pull all males and begin a new seed cycle in their place. I plan to keep this grow going as long as possible.

I will be watering only for the first two weeks as I am using a hot, organic soil combo. After the first two weeks I will switch to 1/4-1/2 strength FF Grow Big. When sex is shown, I will switch to 1/4-1/2 strength Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom.

Lights will run on a continuous 20/4 schedule. At some point I plan on growing seed, but we will cross that bridge at another time.

I guess that pretty much sums it up!

consider going to home depot and buying light socket splitters so you can double the amount of lights you have in there... that just always makes it better for growing good buds :)

They are actually on the way. I order a lot of 10 off of ebay for $9 plus $15 S/H. That's where the "18" light count comes from at the beginning ;-)

Well, the saran wrap worked like a charm and all my ladies popped their heads this morning.

Kiddie bud porn to follow:

yes I subscribed to this thread. just waiting to see some more results. I was looking at what you have set up and you know if you could make some reflectors so that the parts of he lights that are pointed upward get immediatly reflected down that would put all those lumens to better use.. where did you get your seeds at btw??

Day 15

Started the babies on 1/4th strength grow big yesterday. They seem to be responding very well! I even fed the one that's behind a few days and it did just fine.

Here's the pics!

So far these plants have been VERY BORING to grow. I do not recommend autoflowering if you are a hobby grower who wants a lot of "hands-on" time with his/her plants.

That being said, these plants are great for everything else, especially for filling up space!

I planted them straight into organic Fox Farms Ocean Forest potting soil with a 25% perlite mix in. Since then I have misted them a couple times a day and watered them a total of three times in fifteen days. I keep the cfls about 1-2 inches from the canopy and the only other thing I do is sit and stare and watch my babies grow.

Oh, and I fed them on day fourteen. That has been the most exciting 10 minutes of my entire grow!

HAHA your telling me! You think growing is going to be this thing that can have maintenance done on it daily and its not! even if your into LST and all that a plant is still a plant and its kind of like watching the grass grow the only difference is at the end its actually FUN to cut this grass!

Sorry it's been so long since my last update, so without further ado here is day 22 updates.
