Shortening light period? HALP! Need experienced advice please

I read in a Cannabis Culture article that making your dark period longer during flowering (lights on 10-14 instead of 12-12), would in turn make your plant ripen faster. On the other hand they said that a plant in 10 hours light wouldn't grow as tall as a plant in 12 hours light.

I'm moving soon and will unfortunately have to chop them on the 12th, ripe or not (amber trichs is what I'm wanting). I've had them in flowering now on 12/12 for a couple days short of 9 weeks. So...

My question for you experts/more experienced growers out there is the following:

If I change my light from 12-12 to 10-14 (at this point in flowering) will it harm my plant in any way? And also will help speed maturing in my plants?

So do you think it will cause any stress to my plants by changing it this late in harvest? I suppose it's kinda like nature, shorter days, just not so quick in nature, yes?

yeah man do it if time is an issue think of it more scientifically and dont be such a pessimist yes its not like "nature" but time and nature are man made things plants just happen to live here with us crazy human beings, there will be no stress man

Actually nature never really hits 12 but for a fraction of the year. 12 12 is man made. Grow some outdoor. It never hits 12 12.
