Hi guys I’m in coco.. I see signs of Nute burn (tips) that’s strange because I always feed under like half recommended or less. Only thing I was using a small amount of silicon at one point

but as you can see from the pics the plants getting worse towards the sides and discoloured leaf

I did a light flush of ph 5.9
And then a quarter strength feed
Basically in case it was lockout

plucked the bad leafs and it was good for a day and now it’s back

my heads had it with the grow

I swear it’s a wonder I had any success for the longest time due to an inconsistent ph pen
I’ve learned that u really have to calibrate regularly and make sure the probe gets rinsed and the storage cap is soaked in the storage solution. The probe is never supposed to dry out.
Since I started going through that process, i haven’t had anymore issues.
So, it’s worth paying attention to.
 
Pic of full plant would help.

Need to know the EC of the feed.
Need to know how often you're feeding.
As mentioned, knowing the EC of the runoff would help here.

Coco is one of the easiest ways to grow because it's only getting what you give it, but if you're new to it and not tracking the inflow EC and the runoff EC (periodically or when you have an issue), then you'll have problems.

Also, never give plants in coco plain water - whether when feeding or if it needs a flush. It's also not a good idea to flush if you haven't figured out a specific reason why you need to flush (e.g., runoff EC is really high).
 
I don’t have an ec pen, I have always used coco and never had this problem before so it just seemed off to me

my ph meters good but I will try calibration again just incase and get back to you,

If it’s not ph… what we thinking ? Because there’s no way I over fertilised

You should spend $15 on an EC meter. "Half or less" of some unspecified nutrient line is not going to help you or anyone else here. Saying 1.3 EC will.

You also didn't answer how often you're feeding, which could give clues as to what the issue is.

I feed every day till runoff 10-20%
I didn’t realise ec was so important as I’ve never had an issue before

I did ph my run off that was high 6.4

that’s the reason I decided to do a light flush to see if it would stabilise it a bit

I will get a ec pen tomorrow

So that helps. If you're pushing out at least 10% runoff and feeding every day, then it is very likely not a salt build up in the medium. Different nutrient lines have different EC levels for their measured doses. Which EC to feed at is dependent on the crop you're growing; for example, tomatoes take double the EC than cannabis does.

Runoff pH usually drifts higher as it interacts with the plant, so it's not uncommon for the runoff pH to be a full point higher than the inflow pH. You should not worry and usually not even test runoff pH.

What nutrient line are you feeding half a dose of? My guess, and it's a guess until we get EC readings and ensure your pH meter is calibrated, is you're just underfeeding, but a full pic of the plant would help.

there’s some more pics. The new growth does appear small and taco leafs as well, for some reason

I first thought pests and I did have spider mites
But after an extensive battle with
5 different pesticides
Neem oil
And sulphur

there hasn’t been and sign of them in a few week. I have been keeping them in veg and routinely spraying and checking thoroughly with 100x zoom just incase and keeping it in veg
